Rochdale calling...

Hammersmith & Fulham residents phoning the town hall will soon get their calls answered by a call centre in Rochdale!

It's the latest cut to local services by the Tory council, and another blow to employment in the borough.

So whatever your query, let's hope that Rochdale knows the answer - or knows someone in the town hall who does...

Don't see why I should pay higher council tax when the same job can be done just as effectively for a lot less elsewhere.

I thought Labour were all in favour of redistribution towards poorer parts of the UK anyway?

A local authority should be just that - local. It's ridiculous to suggest that the same job can be done as effectively by someone who doesn't know the area. It might be done more cheaply, but it won't be the same.

Making local people redundant certainly isn't putting H&F residents first.

Who's to say it will be cheaper anyway?

The council already own the town hall so they don't have to hire premises.

I think this is all for show...
